WAMPUM - Onondaga Belt
This white belt with the six diagonal squares connected together recalls an important time of the Haudenosaunee. The Peacemaker gave a message that encouraged the message of peace to spread in the four directions. If those wanted to follow that peace, would follow the white roots of peace to the Haudenosaunee. The Tuscarrora did just that and their people followed the message of peace and joined the Haudenosaunee. This belt remembers the sixth nation joining the Haudenosaunee.
