Onondaga Nation School teacher accused of abuse

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office Monday charged an Onondaga Nation
School teacher with having sexual contact with two female students, ages
7 and 8.
Albert Scerbo, 44, of 7406 Liffey Lane, Clay, is charged with two misdemeanor
counts of sexual conduct against a child. The abuse happened over the past
two years, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
The Abused
Persons Unit began the investigation Friday. The victims told deputies
they were abused on several occasions from September 2004 until recently.
Both victims told deputies the abuse occurred when Scerbo had them sit
on his lap during class, the release states.
Scerbo is a music teacher at the school on the Onondaga Nation.
Onondaga Nation School officials suspended Scerbo Friday, the release
states.
Scerbo was arraigned Monday night and is being held in the Justice Center
on $10,000 bail/bond. He is scheduled to return to Onondaga Town Court
Friday.
