Oren Lyons Receives Lacrosse Award

At the conclution of the Nations Cup (an all Haudenosaunee Box Lacrosse Tournament), a rresentation to honour ‘Oren Lyons” was made by Mike Mitchell and Mamie David (Iroquois Nationals Board Member).

On behalf of the Nations Cup Committee and all the teams participating, we wish to honor one of our greatest ambassadors of the game of lacrosse, Mr. Oren Lyons of Onondaga. The success and recognition of our game at the National and International level is largely due to your efforts as a spokesman for the Haudenosaunee Lacrosse players who now have the opportunity to compete with other countries at an international level.  Your devotion to the Creators Game has been recognized by your people of the Iroquois Nation, we take this opportunity to honor your many years of devotion to Iroquois Nation Lacrosse. May the Creator and the Spirit messengers watch over you in your travels to promote our game.
