The United States and the Haudenosaunee will honor the 231st Anniversary of the Canandaigua Treaty. This treaty is historic as this is one of the earliest treaties ratified by the US Congress with a Native Nation. The 1794 Canandaigua (Pickering) Treaty is celebrated across Haudenosaunee territory as the treaty re-affirms our status as an sovereign nation.
