Your Medical Office Assistant position – Job Number: 89550
Job Summary: The MOA is an individual who, with appropriate experience, can enhance the clinical and clerical functions of healthcare center. This individual will have an opportunity to have direct patient care responsibilities in addition to complementing those skills with providing proficient clerical organization. Clinical duties include preparing patients for examinations, obtaining and recording patient vital signs, and performing standardized routine tests such as phlebotomy and patient specimen collection. Clerical functions include answering phones, scheduling appointments, registering patients, processing referrals and a wide array of other clerical tasks. Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program or one year experience directly related to the medical field; Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a family medicine or other primary care setting. Experience with an electronic medical record, preferably EPIC.
Work Days:
Monday through Friday Daytime Hours

Job Summary: Prepares and compiles information for reports and reviews forms for completeness and accuracy. Depending on the organizational unit, responsibilities may include billing duties such as posting charges or payments, researching and resolving issues, and processing insurance forms; or medical office duties such as maintaining patient forms and records, often using specialized software. Other general clerical/administrative tasks such as requisitioning supplies, answering phones, mail screening, and copying documents may also be required Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent and two years of clerical support experience, preferably in a medical setting. Speed and accuracy required. Ability to work with only general supervision and maintain confidentiality. Familiarity with position-specific computer software applications.Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a family medicine practice. Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably EPIC.
