The Upstate Lacrosse Foundation announced that Sherwin “Mister” Hill will be inducted into the 2026 Hall of Fame Class on November 9, 2026 at Drumlins Country Club.
Sherwin, Onondaga Eel Clan, is a lacrosse icon on the Onondaga Nation. A lifelong lacrosse player and advocate, Sherwin was a player and captain of the first field lacrosse team at the LaFayette High School in 1960. As an adult, Sherwin was known as a prolific scorer and attacker in one of the best eras of Onondaga lacrosse as his teams won many league box lacrosse championships.
In retirement, Sherwin managed, coached, and refereed all divisions of lacrosse. He is also the current manager of the Tsha Hoñnoñyeñdakwha and oversees lacrosse and all athletics on the Onondaga Nation for the past 2 decades.
